Art
Art has always been an important part of my life and a way to perceive the world. Whether it was self-identity, social justice, or mundane moments of life, it was an exciting outlet.
I have worked with a variety of mediums, mainly oil paint, but have also worked with acrylics, charcoal, pastels, ink, etc. My favorite subject is people as there are .
This summer, I’ve been working on a portrait of my mother and grandparents in hopes to gift them when traveling becomes safer. My grandparents are a huge part of my life and a lot of my artwork actually revolves around my experience with them and my family in China during the sweltering summers and happiest moments of childhood.
Work in Progress…
This is a snapshot of the portion of the painting that is my grandpa. I love experimenting with colors and piecing the puzzle pieces that are shapes and shadows.
Medium: Oil Paint
Paintings

Drawings
I’ve been experimenting with ink pens and pastel chalk.

Art Science & Wonder
Art Science & Wonder is a program with Georgia Tech & Emory where artists pair with researchers to create some cool things. When creating this piece, I had the theme of keeping people safe by valuing their privacy no matter what information sources are used. The researcher I worked with had interests in privacy-preserving data analysis and technologies, therefore I implemented that through the visual of a line of people whispering to each other in a forest of secrets. In a game like "telephone", knowing someone’s information makes it prone for it to be shared with others along a line. It shows the vulnerability of people's private information if not careful. I used bright acrylics and paint markers to paint the different people, their relationships intertwined by chains of data.
